“are you sure sweetheart, that you want to be well? Just so you’re sure and ready to be healed, cause wholeness is no trifling matter. a lot of weight when you’re well”
— Toni Cade Bambara.
Phoenix is an alchemist, change agent, spiritual midwife, and social artist who is passionate about both personal freedom & collective liberation. In her practice, she stimulates the transmutation of stagnant energy into meaningful action.
She created the term “freedom doula” in 2020 upon the realization of her role as a spiritual steward for others.
Phoenix’s operates by the mantra “life as ceremony.” The concept of ‘life as ceremony’ is one that acknowledges the sacredness of our unique and profound life journey. As an ordained minister since 2018, Phoenix is deeply attuned to the significance of ceremony as it relates to crucial milestones within cycles of life.
Throughout her life, Phoenix has been devoted to the sacred mission in service to humanity. For the past 20 years, she has engaged in work as a community organizer, workshop facilitator, guest/panelist speaker, event coordinator, and community based healer. Phoenix also has experience as a teacher in the classroom. During the pandemic, she taught elementary school children virtually. She has also been featured as a guest presenter for Mycology Psychology’s Holonic Practitioners Program with a course called, “Ceremony and Ancestral Wisdom.”
A perpetual student of life, Phoenix is currently enrolled in a Transpersonal Psychology Ph.D program. Phoenix has experience as a psychedelic integration coach, psychedelic trip sitter & psycho-spiritual guide. She has previously participated in MAPS sponsored, The Zendo Project — a trained, psychedelic peer support program that provides safe spaces to festival attendees. Phoenix is also trained as an end-of-life doula and is a graduate of The Anam Cara Academy under the tutelage of Mary Telliano.
She has also developed her talents through studies of traditional indigenous healing practices, various forms of divination, ritual and ceremonial works. Her affinity towards the plant kingdom has led her to study the therapeutic benefits of herbs and aromatherapy for over 10 years. She is a certified energetic healing practitioner, Theta Healing, Reiki Levels 1 & 2 respectively. She has also studied other modalities, such as Pranic healing and Breathwork that are also incorporated into her practice. Phoenix has also stepped into her purpose as an ordained minister and has facilitated various ceremonies over the last six years.
